Differentiable imaging.[1][2] is an advanced computational imaging paradigm that integrates with differentiable programming techniques. By modeling uncertainties in real systems that may induce mismatch between physical and numerical models, and carefully design the numerical optimization, differentiable imaging seamless build linkages among the key components in computational imaging systems, thus enables the co-design of computational optical imaging systems.

A key application of differentiable imaging is uncertainty management, which involves quantifying and mitigating the impact of unpredictable or unmeasurable factors that degrade imaging performance, since the uncertainty factors distort the fidelity of numerical imaging models. Examples of such uncertainties include:

- Data and system uncertainties: Artifacts introduced during image acquisition, such as low-quality data, noise, or hardware imperfections[5][6].
