Founded in December 2017 by a core team, including Kiana Shek[3], from listed companies in the US, Hong Kong, and China. DigiFinex is headquartered in Hong Kong and has offices in Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and China.

In April 2019, DigiFinex launched DigiFinex Korea

In April 2019, DigiFinex partnered with payment processor Simplex to allow users to buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Ripple (XRP), with payments made in USD or EUR with VISA or MasterCard Card. In March 2020, DigiFinex announced adding support for 16 more fiat currencies via Simplex.

In September 2019, DigiFinex hosted a cryptocurrency research hackathon among university students, co-hosted by Coindesk as part of Invest: Asia 2019 at Sands Expo, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.[4]

In Nov 2019, DigiFinex introduced the Crypto Quant Funds, offering crypto funds for it’s users and premium investors.

In March 2020, DigiFinex announced DigiDeriv, a sub-exchange offering futures derivative trading options.

In April 2020, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced DigiFinex being one of the exchanges exempted from its Payment Service Act (PSA) for a specific period.

In June 2020, DigiFinex announced rebranding, introducing a new logo and colour scheme. It also released its new tagline - Beyond your wealth companion, and core values integrity, diversity, dependability, and sustainability, marks a major milestone in the company’s evolution.

DigiFinex core business is a global cryptocurrency exchange for trading a variety of digital assets on its trading platform. Offers purchasing cryptocurrencies with 20 fiat currencies, through P2P trades and third-party payment processors, including Simplex.

Other services: asset management functionalities through introducing Crypto Quant Fund, Crypto Loan and the derivatives trading platform - DigiDeriv.

Singapore: DigiFinex is exempted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) from holding a licence under the Payment Services Act ("PS Act") for providing digital payment token service for a specified period.
