Digital Adoption Platform
A Digital Adoption Platform (DAP) is a layer of software that can be integrated onto any web-based software, website or mobile application to guide users through tasks.[1]
A DAP is a cloud-based solution that improves the usability of digital tools by providing users contextual prompts in real-time.[2] It includes algorithms that enable it to deliver prompts automatically and with a high level of personalization.[3]
Main uses for a DAP[edit]
Companies use DAPs to improve employee productivity and usability on different software platforms, such as Human Capital Management software, Customer Relationship Management software, Enterprise Resource Planning software, and other categories of digital tools.[4] Brands and eCommerce websites use DAPs to guide customers through the website and complete purchases.[5]
San Francisco, CA.-based WalkMe Inc., founded in 2011, is the first provider of DAP technology.
