Digital Content Conglomerate
A Digital Content Conglomerate is a parent company to numerous subsidiaries that are 'mainly' involved in the ownership, distribution, management, and exploitation of digital content. Sony Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group; who all own Sublabels, are all Digital Content Conglomerates.
Disney, eOne, A. Russell Enterprises, and Vivendi, are also other examples of Digital Content Conglomerates. Forbes magazine wrote about a Digital Content Conglomerate named MindGeek in an article published in February of 2017. The Wall Street Journal and ETCentric wrote about one of the first Digital Content Conglomerates; Group Nine Media, on their online website on October 13th, 2016, and October 17th, 2016, respectively. Group Nine Media recieved a $100 million dollar investment from Discovery Communications Inc. that same year.
