Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 15 July 2024 on StarPlus and streams on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced under Shree Venkatesh Films, it is an official remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Anurager Chhowa. The series stars Aditi Tripathi and Akshit Sukhija.[1][2]

Plot[edit]
Deepika was treated unfairly from a young age because of her dark complexion. One day, young Deepika gives her trophy for the student of the year to her fair-complexioned half-sister, Jahnvi, but is later caught as someone comes from her school revealing the truth. Deepika's father stands for her and asks Jahnvi to apologise but she refuses. Later, her stepmother, who prefers her own daughter, abandons young Deepika at a fair or Mela in Jodhpur. In search of her mother, young Deepika meets a priest who took her to her home.

Deepika and Janhvi are now adults. Chirag Mittal is a doctor, he has faith in Lord Radhakrishna, he often visits temple. He sees Deepika there and is impressed by Deepika's good nature of helping an unconscious old woman at the temple where she helps everyone in religious works and helping an unconscious child girl. Chirag's mother, Lavanya, hates dark complexion as she is the owner of a fairness beauty brand and wishes for a fairy-like girl, fair complexion is a must. Deepika prays for her sister who is taking part in Miss Rajasthan beauty. Lavanya impressed by Jahnvi and her beauty chooses her for her younger son Prithvi.

Dil Ko Tumse Pyaar Hua is an official remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Anurager Chhowa, which is in turn a remake of Asianet's Malayalam series Karuthamuthu.[4] Previously, Karuthamuthu has been adapted into two Hindi shows, Kartik Purnima and Yeh Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar.[5]
Casting[edit]
Aditi Tripathi was cast as Deepika, a dark skin girl. Tripathi makes her TV debut with the show.[6] Akshit Sukhija was cast as Chirag, a doctor. He termed his character "intriguing".[7][8]
