Griffin Alexander Klaus[1] (born October 14, 1998 – July 28, 2019), better known as Dillon The Hacker (also known as Dillon Prescott Henderson), was an American YouTuber, best known for making troll videos targeted against big YouTube stars such as PewDiePie, Markplier, Jacksepticeye and VanossGaming.

He died on July 28, 2019 by committing suicide, according to his best friend BG Kumbi. News of his death emerged a month later.[2][3] PewDiePie, who Dillon infamously trolled, posted a tweet regarding his death, which had helped spread the news.[4]

Early Life[edit]

Griffin Alexander Klaus was born on October 14, 1998, in Covington, Louisiana.[5] He went in the same school with Kevin Stafford, who goes by the name BG Kumbi on YouTube and infamously pretended to be an Antifa activist interviewed by Fox News in 2017[6]. Stafford was already active on YouTube, which ultimately motivated him to follow suit. Klaus also stated to date fellow YouTuber Pupinia Stewart, until the two broke up in 2015.

Career[edit]

Klaus started his career on February 27, 2014. His first videos were threats to hack Reddit and 4chan. He would gain attention by posting videos about PewDiePie who in turn began making videos on him, giving him further attention. He later expanded his trolling to Jacksepticeye, Markiplier and VanossGaming. In 2017, he had an interview with The Daily Dot.[7] In April 2014, 4chan users sent $260 worth of Domino's Pizza and a bomb threat to what they believed was Griffin's home address, but was actually a bait that he had set up.[8]

Death[edit]

Griffin died on July 28, 2019.[9] His death was announced an exact month later by several of his friends.

Stafford posted a video three days later, in which he revealed they were close friends and had lost touch with each other in the time leading up to his death. A visibly emotional Stafford implied that Griffin may have committed suicide.
