Dimitris C. Milionis (Δημήτρης Κ. Μηλιώνης) (born 1960) is a Greek-Australian visual artist based in Athens, Greece.
Early life and education
Milionis was born in Sydney, Australia in 1960 and moved to Athens in 1974.[1] He attended Tempe High School in New South Wales (1972–1974), where he studied technical drawing.[2]
From 1974 to 1978 he studied at the American Community Schools of Athens, exploring photography, 8mm film, video, mechanical drawing, architecture and lino printmaking.[3] From 1979 to 1980 he worked in Greek film pre- and post-production.[4]
In 1991 he studied Byzantine iconography in a workshop associated with the Benaki Museum,[5] and etching at the Athens Printmaking Center (1991–1992).[6] In 1992 he studied sculpture at Athens College.[7]
Career
Milionis works in painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed media. His work incorporates symbolic forms, geometric structures and architectural motifs.[1]

Collections and auction history
Works by Milionis have been included in private collections in Greece and abroad, including the Philosophical School of the University of Athens and the American College of Greece.[1] His work is also represented in the Alpha Bank Art Collection.[16]
His paintings have appeared at auction at Sotheby's,[17] Bonhams,[18] and Vergos Auctions.[19]
