Overview[edit]

The Dinaric Rally takes place over several days and covers a distance of approximately 1,600 kilometers through the rugged terrain of the Dinaric Alps. The event is open to both professional and amateur off-road racers and features multiple categories, including motorcycles, quads and SSVs.

The route of the Dinaric Rally Raid changes each year, but always includes a mix of challenging off-road sections, fast tracks, and scenic mountain passes. The event typically attracts competitors from a variety of countries in Europe and beyond, making it a truly international event.

History[edit]

The idea for the Dinaric Rally Raid was first conceived by a group of off-road enthusiasts in Croatia who wanted to create a world-class rally raid event in the region. The first edition of the event was held in 2020 and attracted 50 competitors from 12 countries.

Since then, the Dinaric Rally Raid has grown in size and popularity, with over 120 competitors taking part in the most recent edition of the event. The organizers have also worked to improve the safety and logistics of the event, making it a top-quality experience for both competitors and spectators.

Format[edit]

The Dinaric Rally Raid is a multi-stage event, with competitors racing against the clock on a variety of off-road terrain. The event typically includes a prologue stage, followed by several days of racing with multiple stages each day.

Competitors are divided into classes based on their vehicle type and level of experience. The event uses a time-based scoring system and safety / tracking system based on satellite technology, with the winner (of the category / class / overall) being the competitor who completes all stages in the shortest overall time.

Conclusion[edit]

The Dinaric Rally Raid is a unique and challenging off-road event that showcases the rugged beauty of the Dinaric Alps region. With its growing popularity and international appeal, it is sure to become a fixture on the European rally raid calendar for years to come.
