DinoSearch is a child-safe, dinosaur-themed search engine aimed at children. It uses the Google Programmable Search Engine. DinoSearch utilizes Google SafeSearch and maintains its own database of inappropriate websites and keywords. The database is maintained with the help of parents, educators, and librarians who may stumble across inappropriate websites for children. The inappropriate URLs are submitted to DinoSearch, where a team of editors will review and block the websites.
Format
The user enters their search query into the search field. DinoSearch first checks for banned keywords that trigger a block message of "oops, no results". If the search term passes through the filter, the search results are displayed.
