Diogo Corona is a Brazilian business leader known for his roles as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the fitness club franchise Smart Fit, and as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the corporate wellness benefit platform TotalPass. Corona is recognized for his approach to integrating physical activity with technology in fitness, alongside fostering a sense of community within fitness facilities.
Corona graduated from the Insper Institute of Education and Research in São Paulo with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2010. Prior to his graduation, he interned at Smart Fit in an administrative role.
Before joining Smart Fit, Corona began his professional journey as an analyst at Itaú Unibanco, a leading financial institution in Brazil.
Upon completion of his internship, Corona continued to work at Smart Fit after his graduation, taking on various roles that capitalized on his skills and experience in finance. His roles ranged from expansion analyst, planning manager, to eventually becoming the executive director.
In 2016, Corona was appointed as the COO of Smart Fit. In this role, he oversees operations for the company’s branches across multiple Latin American countries including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Peru. His key responsibilities encompass spearheading Smart Fit’s expansion, managing financial planning, and overseeing pricing activities. Furthermore, Corona holds officer positions in several of Smart Fit's subsidiaries.
