Dion Laurent
Dion Laurent, (1965) American artist. Dion Laurent (born October 3, 1965) is an American contemporary artist. best known for his use of scientific innovation in his performances and installations. Laurent has been creating social, political and environmental oriented works since 1988. He works in performance art, installation art, and New media art, as well as in more traditional media of painting and sculpture. Much of Laurent's work is influenced by his travels to some 54 countries and current affairs, particularly the Persian Gulf wars and environmentalism. [1]. Laurent attended Texas A&M and Belmont University in Nashville, and currently lives in rural central Texas, and in Houston, Texas.
