Antony Diron Fernando (born 13 February 1979), better known as Diron Fernando, is a Sri Lankan music composer[1], voice-over artist and producer, predominantly working as an Independent Music Composer. Also working in the Sri Lankan Sinhala Music industry. His first album as music director was Dimensions in 2008. Since then he has composed music for more than 200 songs. He is the first Sri Lankan music composer to win an Honorary Award from the government of Tamil Nadu[2] for his organ donation awareness song "Dhanam Sei". He has won the National award for best music scoring for Teledrama and he has received several national award nominations. He has also won Dr. APJ Abdul kalam excellence award for Youngest achiever of the year in the music industry (2018). Diron Fernando has been selected as a jury panel member for National Awards committee in 2019.
Career
Diron Fernando began work in the Music and media industry from age 20. He joined the Independent Television Network (National Television of Sri Lanka) as a freelance producer (2002). Later he worked for few print-media companies. While working for media he started his music career as a keyboard player. Diron Fernando performed more than 100 stage shows worldwide. In 2009 he established his own production company "D-Media". Then since now, he is active in the field of media as a Composer, voice-over artist, writer and producer.
