Dirty Habits is an extreme sports community and media company, formed by people from around the world, based in Cape Town and Berlin. Dirty Habits creates sports content for its Youtube channel, Instagram and TikTok and has its own clothing and kitesurfing accessories brand currently sold by selected partner water-sports stores in Spain, The Netherlands, Poland, Germany and South Africa[1].

Collaborations

Dirty Habits has done successful collaborations with Red Bull[2], Porsche, Mystic[3], Flexfit, and other brands. In 2019, Dirty Habits collaborated with SoCoMunity to produce a snowboard video[4]

History

Dirty Habits was founded in 2010 by Graham Howes as a community brought together by sports. This community is made up of professional surfers, kiteboarders, stuntmen, skateboarders, wakeboarders, actors, adventure film makers, brand owners, models, free-divers, deep sea fisherman and shark divers[5]. In 2020, the Dirt Division Team[6] was created to include motocross.

Dirty Habits Playground

The park is located at Hillcrest Quarry, in Cape Town, and has rails and obstacles to practice wakeboarding and kiteboarding[7][8]. The Dirty Habits playground has held events including the party for Red Bull King of the Air[9]

Air Division

In 2019, Dirty Habits launched the Air Division and incorporated wing-suiting, skydiving, paragliding[10]. In early 2022, Dirty Habits introduced The Dirty Bird, an aircraft owned by Nick Southon[11].
