Disciple Records (also known as Disciple) is a British independent record label based in Los Angles, California. Disciple was founded in 2013 by Rob Talbott and Ross Burr in Bristol, United Kingdom. The label mainly releases Dubstep and Riddim music, but also releases other bass music genres.

Disciple was first started as a sister label of Never Say Die but later cut ties with SKisM and therefore Never Say Die in September 2017 after founding their sister label Disciple Round Table.[1] The first release was the Dodge and Fuski Remix EP and There Goes Your Money by Virtual Riot on the 27th of May 2013[2][3] and the oldest video on the Disciple YouTube Channel as of Jan 23, 2023, being PhaseOne - Origins from the Origins EP. They celebrated their 200th release on June 24th with the release of Laserbeam by Ray Volpe[4][5][6], which was also the #1 most played and most sold Dubstep track of 2022[7][8]. They finished off 2022 with the release of CHOMP EP by INFEKT[9] and started off 2023 with the Bandlez Trap Drums 101 Sample Pack[10].

Founding (2013 - 2014)[edit]

Disciple Records is a record label founded in 2013 by Rob Talbott and Ross Burr. During its first two years of operation, the label released music from a variety of artists in the electronic dance music (EDM) genre, including dubstep, trap, and bass music. Some notable releases from 2013-2014 include "There Goes Your Money" by Virtual Riot[11], "Playboy" by Dodge and Fuski[12], and the beginning of the almost yearly compilation "Disciple Alliance Vol. 1"[13]. The label quickly gained a reputation for its high-energy, bass-heavy sound and has since become one of the most popular and respected labels in the EDM scene.

Alliance Vol. 2, Reinforcements, Disciple 02 (2015-2016)[edit]

During 2015-2016, Disciple Records continued to establish itself as a leading label in the EDM scene with a number of high-profile releases. One of the most notable releases during this time was "Disciple Alliance Vol. 2"[14], a compilation album featuring tracks from a variety of artists on the label. The album showcased the label's diverse sound, with tracks spanning across dubstep, trap, and bass music. Another notable release during this time period was "Disciple 02"[15], a second compilation album that featured new tracks from some of the label's most popular artists, including Virtual Riot, Barely Alive, and Datsik. Another notable release was "All Killer No Filler EP"[18] by Dodge & Fuski, which showcased the duo's signature heavy basslines and genre-blending sound. The label also released "Disciple Alliance Vol. 4"[19], the fourth installment of the label's compilation series, which featured tracks from a variety of artists on the label, including Virtual Riot, Barely Alive, and Datsik. One of the most notable releases from this time period was the "Legend of the Volpetron EP"[23] by Ray Volpe, which showcased the producer's signature style of heavy basslines and melodic elements, in addition to incorporating a futuristic narrative concept. Another notable release was "Disciple Alliance Vol. 7"[24], the seventh installment of the label's compilation series, which featured a diverse selection of tracks from the label's roster of artists, representing the wide range of sounds the label is known for. The label also released the "Simulation LP" by Virtual Riot[25], which was the debut album from Burnn that showed his incredible and unique sound design going from heavy bass design to very melodic sounds. These releases along with the end of Never Say Die[26] solidified the label's position as the biggest label in the bass music scene.
