Discover Life is an online encyclopedia of life founded in 1998 by John Pickering.[2]
It is known in the citizen science community for its collection of species guides, [3] [4] [5] with over 70 guides on bees alone, [6] including bee species guide and world checklist. [7]
By 2013, it has reached 1 billion hits. [8] As of December 2020, it has over 1 million species pages and 820,000 maps. [9]
