Dishoom is the sound effect when the hero of an Indian film punches a villain.[1][2][3][4][5] The noise originated in Indian films when the noise was played when the hero fights his enemies, similar to "pow" from comic books.[6] Dishoom dishoom refers to a style of Indian films that involve a lot of fighting.[7][8]
