Edger Vicent Mwaipeta (born February 17, 1993), popularly known by his stage name "Dizasta Vina", is a Tanzanian hip hop recording artist and composer.[1]
Early life
Mwaipeta was born on February 17,1993 in Iringa, Tanzania.[2] He was raised in Dar es Salaam and is the second of three children. He attended at The Institute of Finance Management (IFM), where he earned a degree in accounting and finance in 2015.[3]
Music career
Dizasta began his music career by competing in various rap battles including SM Straight Music Freestyle Battle in 2010.[4] In 2012, he joined Tamaduni Muzik through a talent search competition. In 2014, he released her debut track "Harder," garnering attention on local radio stations in Tanzania.[5][6]
