Djaka Taroeb is an Indonesian fantasy adventure film, believed to have been produced and possibly released in the early 1980s. Released in relative obscurity and near-anonymity, Djaka Taroeb has been cited as the earliest example of a fantasy film with special effects and more famously considered to be the best adventure film ever made.

Discovery and release[edit]
Nothing is known about the production of Djaka Taroeb, as the film bears no credits and no names have been publicly associated with the film. There is no known record of Djaka Taroeb's existence prior to the 2010s, when a user named "Nuril studio amatir" on YouTube found a VHS tape of the film, among which was Djaka Taroeb and uploaded the video with two parts.

Since its initial YouTube video release, Djaka Taroeb has achieved cult status as the best adventure film ever made.
