Djamel Dahou
Djamel Nasreddine Dahou (born June 7, 1992 in Tiaret) is an Algerian professional boxer. He is a former WBC youth welterweight world champion, having held the WBC youth title from 2013 to 2015, and the UBO welterweight world Title in 2014. Additionally he held the UBO African super lightweight title from 2013 to 2014.
As an amateur, Dahou won a gold national championship and the national cup in Algeria, in the lightweight division, he fought 42 fights in amateur (32-7-3) after he turned professional at age of 18. He is also one of the youngest ever Algerian professional world champions, winning the UBO title at the age of 22. In March 2015 the Maracana National sports newspaper and the Algerian sports authority gave Dahou the trophy of the Algerian best athlete of the year, he also won The UBO (oscars) Best Boxer of the year 2014.
