Dmitry Ukrainskiy
Dmitry Ukrainskiy is a Russian national currently detained at the Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok, Thailand, accused by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of being part of a computer hacking group.[1] Mr. Ukrainskiy was arrested in 2016 along with Uzbek national Olga Komova, who was extradited from Bangkok, Thailand to New York, US in late 2016. The issue of Mr. Ukrainskiy's detention and extradition to the United States has been raised by Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov[2], as well as by Russian Ambassador to Thailand, Kirill Barsky.[3] According to Thailand Bail, the law firm representing Mr. Ukrainskiy, he was charged in the Bangkok Criminal Court, the Bangkok Civil Court, and had an extradition case pending in the Bangkok Criminal Court, with the Civil Court finding Mr. Ukrainskiy not guilty of money laundering.[4] Mr. Ukrainskiy is currently awaiting decisions on his criminal case, civil case, and extradition case in Thailand.
