Do It! Yasuji's Pornorama (ヤスジのポルノラマ やっちまえ!! Yasuji no Pornorama Yacchimae!!) is a 1971 Japanese adult animated comedy film by Tokyo TV Movie (subsequently known Nippon TV Movie) known for made Doraemon (1973 TV series).[1]
Based on the erotic gag manga Yasuji Tanioka (谷岡ヤスジ Yasuji Tanioka).[1] Released on September 24, 1971.[2] Film was released in the previous year of Fritz the Cat.
Unprecedented black humor was used, and 11 places were cut by complaints from Eirin (Equivalent to MPAA in Japan), and the last scene where the main character Seppuku reminds Mishima Incident (Yukio Mishima's ritual suicide by seppuku) was retaken.[3]
This black comedy was not attention at the time of its first release, did not achieve commercial success.[1] Although, It is attracting attention as a cult movie (cult animation) at present.[4] In 2005, it was revivaled on Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival and Fantasia International Film Festival.[1][5] In 2018, it was revivaled at Tokyo, the National Film Archive of Japan.[6]
In 2019, the first DVD-Video was released from DIG Label in Japan.[7]
