The New Value is a full-size passenger car produced by Dodge in 1935. It was introduced in January 1935. It was also known as the DU Series.

History

The New Value, like its predecessors Dodge Standard, Dodge Special and Dodge Deluxe, was equipped with a 3,569 cc in-line six-cylinder side-valve engine that developed 87 hp of power. The engine was front, while the traction was rear. The gearbox was a three-speed while the clutch was a dry single-plate. A semi-automatic gearbox was available on request.

The model was offered in four-door sedan, two-door coupe and two-door convertible. In addition, the car was also available with a bare chassis, i.e. without bodywork, in order to give the buyer the opportunity to complete the car at his trusted body shop. Almost all models had a wheelbase of 2,946 mm. The only version with a wheelbase of 3,251 mm was the seven-seater sedan. The New Value was equipped with some technological innovations such as the starter and power steering.
