Dolly Lewis (born 12 July 1986) is an American/British actor, jazz singer, and audiobook narrator, best known for portraying Tess Avery in the CTV (in Canada) and the CW (in the United States) crime drama series Sight Unseen.[1][2]

Private life

Lewis was born on 12 July 1986 to a Czechoslovakia, Bratislava mother and a British father, late Gavin Lewis, a retired associate professor of history at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at CUNY.[3] Her paternal grandmother was a concert pianist Michal Augusta Hambourg (1919-2004),[4][5] and her paternal great-grandfather was a Russian British concert pianist Mark Hambourg.

Lewis is fluent in Italian, and fairly proficient in French, Russian, and Slovak as well.[6]

Lewis has severe night blindness, and her retinas are detaching. She said that the producers of Sight Unseen had been aware of this, and "I think they were looking to specifically cast somebody that has real life experience with" vision issues.[7]

Career

Lewis trained at the Esper Studio and since leaving has appeared in many projects on Stage and Screen.[8]
