Domalak Ana Mausoleum

The monument was built in 1456 in the form of a 4-wall mausoleum with domes. The Domalak Ana mausoleum has been restored several times over the centuries. In 1996, the masonry was made of white stones delivered from Mangystau. The height of the mausoleum is 12 meters.[1][unreliable source?]
According to legend, Domalak Ana (also known as Nurilla) is one of the legendary mothers of the Kazakh people, is a symbol of motherhood and kindness. There is a version that the name Domalak Ana comes from a Persian expression meaning Holy Mother.[2]

Domalak Ana is the mother of the peoples living in Semirechye, Aulie-ata, Shymkent, Tashkent. Her son Zharykshak was an adviser to the Tashkent Amir, later the ruler of Semirechye, then the chief vizier of Yesenbuga Khan. The grandson of Domalak Ana, Dulat invites a master from Bukhara and builds a mausoleum over his grandmother's grave, which is still an object of worship and visiting. There are two sacred stones in the mausoleum, between which only a righteous person can pass.
