Dominic Lucero

Dominic Lucero was an American actor, singer and dancer best known for his work with Michael Jackson on his Bad Tour and in the film Newsies.

 He was born on August 28, 1967 to John and Lupe Lucero, he had three other siblings: John Jr., Monique and De'Ette.  Dominic got his first break as a back-up dancer for Michael Jackson's Bad Tour in 1987. After touring with Michael Jackson, he went on to act in the movie Stand and Deliver.  He worked with Paula Abdul on her "Cold Hearted Snake" music video, on her MTV Club Tour in 1989, he also choreographed numerous live shows including the American Music Awards in 1990. In 1990, he made an appearance in the movie Faith as a dancer; he worked as a dancer for Shawn Christopher on her "Another Sleepless Night" music video. In 1991, Dominic Lucero along with his Newsies cast-mate Kevin Stea appeared on Star Search as a dance group called New World; they went on to win the 1991 season.
 In 1992, Dominic starred as Bumlets in the film Newsies and shortly after Newsies, he played various roles on a Nickelodeon show called Roundhouse.
 In 1992, Dominic Lucero was hired as an assistant choreographer on Michael Jackson's Dangerous World Tour.  After appearing on the first season of Roundhouse in October of 1993, Dominic Lucero was diagnosed with terminal Lymphatic cancer.  He passed away on July 1, 1994.
