Dominick Carter

Dominick Carter is an American light heavyweight boxer. He is an orthodox fighter according to boxrec. He became International Boxing Association (professional) champion on Tuesday, 10 December 1996 by technical knockout/knockout against Rocky Gannon but lost in the rematch on Friday, 19 February 1999. He attempted a comeback at age 44 in 2010 after ten years inactivity, but was stopped in the second round by Martin Verdin.

It was Gannon's first defence of his International Boxing Association World Light Heavy Title. Carter won by a technical knockout in the first round. Three months later there was a rematch, where Gannon beat Carter by a five-round technical knockout and became Light Heavy International Boxing Association (professional) champion again. The match was broadcast on French television.
