From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Born in 1949, Dominique Buttaud is a French dance researcher. After studying Archaeology and History of art and music, she turned towards contemporary dance and worked with the students of Graham, Limon.

Fascinated by the work of Rudolph Laban, she associated with the German expressionist movement.[1], working with Marilou Dari - Magna Kmeilh’s student, who studied with Mary Wigman - and with Geneviève Mallarmé (1979-1986), student of Myla Scyrul and one of the first representatives of the Contemporary dance movement in France.

In 1976, Buttaud created her own dance school, Céphée, as well as an association called Danse Actuelle, in Lyon (France). She developed her own research and created a dance company that regularly presents its work, including by contributing to the annual International Dance Day (29th April).

In 2007, Buttaud became a member of the Society of Dance History Scholars (SDHS)[2] and of the International Dance Council (UNESCO), and joined the Association des chercheurs en danse in 2011.

That same year, she published, in collaboration with Dr. Alain Josserand, Pyshiatrist and Psychoanalyst, «De la Danse à la mobilité interne du corps, L'Ostéodynamique de Représentation par le Verbe – OSDYREVE » (Friches et bordures)[3]
