Domino's Pulse, or branded as Domino's PULSE, is a proprietary point-of-sale (POS) software developed for and used in most Domino's Pizza outlets around the world.[1]
Overview[edit]
Domino's Pulse is based off Breakaway's VISION platform.[2] It consists of various applications that cover all aspects of operations within a Domino's Pizza store such as order taking, order making and order dispatching, to inventory management and stock ordering, marketing and reporting, HR, scheduling and payroll.
History[edit]
In October 2000, Domino's Pizza awarded a contract to Breakaway International Inc., a software company based in Arlington, Texas, to develop and deploy a point-of-sale system to all of it's locations in 65 countries.[2] The deployment of Domino's Pulse had commenced starting with stores in the U.S in 2001, and by February 2003 the rollout had been completed in 600 corporate stores and 100 franchise stores.[2]
By July 2016, all stores in Belgium were using Pulse point-of-sale, and only 50% of stores in France were using Pulse. It is expected that the rollout in France is completed by 2017.[3]
