Donna Nolan-Wilson

Donna Nolan-Wilson (born 29 March 1961) is an American Songwriter, Author and Owner Operator of the PR Firm Inside the Song.[1] She is the author of the children's book series, "The Traveling Jalapenos."[2] She lives in the countryside in a town not far from Nashville, TN with her husband and co-writer Greg Wilson.[3]

Career[edit]

Nolan Wilson began her songwriting career in 1992 when her first song, "In My Dreams," was recorded by a Nashville Artist. During this time, she was working full-time in law firms on Long Island daydreaming about songwriting and helping fellow singer songwriters get more recognition. In 1994, her second song, "Give Me a Reason was recorded in Nashville. In 1998, Donna married her co-writing partner and they continued writing. In 2008, they released "All Access."[4] In the Year 2000, the Wilson's opened up Inside The Song Acoustic Cafe & Guitar Store.

In 2009, Donna co-wrote the song "It Takes Two to Fall" with Kimberley Dahme, formerly of the band BOSTON[5] which was released on Kimberley's CD entitled "You Make Me Believe." [6] She has also co-written "Take Your Guitar When You Go," [7] and "Be The Change," [8] with Kimberley Dahme. [9]

In 2011, they released 'Love Story".[10] Sunday dinners inspired Donna to write the children's series "The Traveling Jalapeno's" and in 2014 the first Pepper's book was published titled, "The Traveling Jalapenos." This book brought light to the struggles of American Veterans.[11] In 2015 after feeling connected to and inspired by little Tripp Halstead [12] Nolan-Wilson penned, "The Traveling Jalapeno's Meet Tripp Halstead."[13] This story brought light to the struggles of people with T.B.I. Traumatic Brain Injury. In 2017 Nolan Wilson had the Pepper's visit Marie's Garden,[14] The Traveling Jalapeño's shed light on autism and how autistic children feel.

Donna has written for many publications including AXS [15] The Inquisitar [16]Yahoo and is the editor of The Daily Banner[17].

Inside the Song Promotions[edit]

Inside the Song Promotions was born from the show Donna Nolan-Wilson produced from the Broken Spoke Songwriter Cafe in Nashville, TN. In 1998, 1999 and 2000, that show presented nightly live from the Spoke had some of Nashville's biggest songwriters.[18] These songwriters such as Jeff Stevens [19] and Tim Nichols [20]wrote songs for Trace Adkins, George Strait, Reba McEntire, Jodee Messina and more. Donna and her husband Greg opened up their own songwriters Cafe in Winder, Georgia in 2000. On September 11, 2001, the world was rocked by the terrorists attacks. Songwriters stopped traveling to do shows as the world stood still. In Donna Nolan-Wilson handles PR for Little River Band, Rickey Medlocke. Blackfoot and several Nashville Indie artists.[21]
