Downdetector is a network of automated outage detection websites for ISPs, social networks, internet banking, and other online services. The network contains 32 websites, each website tracking services for a single country, with Downdetector.com tracking outages for the United States.

Downdetector's outage detection is based on the automated aggregation and analysis of reports from individual users, including messages posted on Twitter[2].

The first website in the Downdetector network, Allestoringen.nl, was registered on 3 February 2012 in The Netherlands by Sander van de Graaf and Tom Sanders[3]. In August 2018, Downdetector was acquired[4] by Ookla, publisher of Speedtest.net.
