Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh is an Indian Indian Administrative Service officer in the Indian state of Bihar and who trains poor civil services exam aspirants for free; at least 200 of his students are working as police officers across India..[2] Currently he is serving as Director, Primary Education Department, Bihar Government and also charged as a Managing director of Bihar textbook corporation Limited, Bihar Government[3]
Early life and education[edit]
He was born on 07 February 1980 [1] in Vaishali, Bihar. He has completed schooling in his village and completed graduation from Patna University. He had also Ph.D from Patna University and his thesis on the topic "Dr. A P J Abdul kalam.
Career[edit]
He cracked UPSC Civil Service Examination in 2008. He was alloted IAS Service and Gujrat cadre. Later, he came to home state Bihar cadre and appointed as a District magistrate of Sitamarhi District in Bihar [4]. where a lot of development work had done under the guidenceship of Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh and got awarded first ODF district of Bihar state. He is married to Misha in 2020. Misha is also a Bihar Administrative Service Officer.
Social life[edit]
He has set up a "Super 50" educational institute where civil services examinations aspirants from poor families to teach and trained to clear the competitive exam. Last 10 years, the academy, ‘Super 50’, has trained more than 1,700 students for various competitive examinations, including state and union civil services.[6][2]
Awards[edit]
A lot of Award has been received by Dr. Ranjit Kumar Singh. When he was posted in Gujrat, he got Award "Gujrat Ratn" for first ODF district Narmda and major development work has been done in those areas. Apart from it, he also got Award for ODF in Sitamarhi District. He also award for first ISI certify office for Sitamarhi District.[5] He was awarded the National Sanitation Award in 2016, the Mahatma Gandhi Swachata Award in 2017 and the Mahatma Gandhi Swachata Survey Award in 2018 for his work as a district magistrate in Sitamarhi.[7] [2]
