Dr. Jeff Mathis, OTD, CTH is the Chief Executive Officer of Mathis Rehab Centers. Dr. Mathis attended the University of Kansas.[1]

The goal of Mathis Rehab Centers is to help others by providing patient-centered care. Dr. Mathis has partnered with hospitals and non-profits, as well as outpatient clinics. His Rehab Centers perform over 5,600 patient visits per month and employ 103 staff members.[2] Currently, there are eight facilities, including their newest location, Katie’s Way, which provides psychology and psychiatry services for ages 2–26 and deep TMS for adults.

Following the suicide of his daughter Katie on June 20, 2013,[3] the Mathis family started Katie's Way. Located in an old stone house, the center provides mental health long-term care in an alternative setting to 40–50 patients daily.[4] Katie’s Way now has approximately 3,000 visits a month and is an important part of the local community. Mathis now provides management services to physical medicine providers and works with gene therapy treatments. Dr. Mathis also formed Libella Gene Therapeutics in 2017. The goal of Libella is to complete a human trial using AAV/hTERT to treat Alzheimer’s disease using gene therapy.[5]
