He received his training and experience as an oncosurgeon at some of the world's most respected institutions. He is a dedicated doctor and an enthusiastic surgeon with good clinical and surgical abilities. He is an Oncologist with compassion and is a surgeon by passion. He has a lot of experience with solid tumours (Both benign and malignant). In circumstances of challenging diagnosis, particularly in suspected tumours and complex procedures, oncosurgeons can make a tremendous impact. He received his training at the Regional Cancer Center in Thiruvananthapuram, where he was exposed to a wide range of cancer treatment options.
His primary focus as a recognised Oncosurgeon is in the management of benign and malignant BREAST DISEASES. He is passionate in using conservative techniques (Breast-Conserving Surgery), such as ONCOPLASTY, to treat breast cancer. He has extensive experience treating malignancies of the head and neck, as well as benign and malignant THYROID NODULES. He has successfully operated on OVARY, CERVIX, AND ENDOMETRIUM GYNECOLOGICAL malignancies. He is also an expert in GASTROINTESTINAL cancers, such as those of the STOMACH, COLON, and RECTUM.
His areas of interest lie in conservative rectal (Sphincter preservation) procedures. He has also performed thoracic procedures on the oesophagus and the lungs. He has also treated tumours of the HEPATOBILIARY SYSTEM (liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, and pancreas). He is well-versed in cancer patients' CHEMOTHERAPY and RADIATION strategies.
