Dr. Kenneth Wong is a bariatric surgeon in New South Wales, Australia.[1]

Biography

He performs gastric band surgery, gastric sleeve surgery, keyhole bowel surgery, stomach surgery, thyroid surgery, and scalp reconstruction surgery.

He is the director and principal surgeon of the weight loss clinic in Gosford, NSW called Central Coast Surgery. Wong medically treats patients with gastrointestinal symptoms, hernias, and colonoscopies.[2]

Wong is licensed by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and a member of the Obesity Surgical Society Australia and Breast Surgeons of Australia. Wong is licensed for usage of radiation apparatus by the New South Wales Environmental Protection Agency and credentialed for colonoscopy and gastroscopy by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

Career

Dr. Wong graduated from University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine in Sydney, Australia in 1999.[3] He completed a basic surgical training internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital also in Sydney in 2001. Between 2002 and 2006, Wong participated in specialist surgical training in General Surgery Gosford/Newcastle Hospitals.

In 2007, Wong completed a fellowship in General Surgery at Gosford Hospital followed by a fellowship in Endocrine, Upper Gastro-intestinal and Bariatric Surgery at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand by 2008.[4] Today he is the sole proprietor of Central Coast Surgery in Gosford, NSW, Australia.
