Victoria Brown known as Dr. Tori Brown[1] is an American author, consultant, and Lifestyle Engineer. She is the co-founder of Fresh Community Development Inc, a non-profit organization for entrepreneurs seeking housing.

Early Life[edit]

Victoria Brown was born in Saginaw Michigan to Juanita Oglesby and John Thomas Brown. Both parents were born in Georgia and later moved to Michigan where they met. She grew up the youngest of three children and attended a learning academy for the gifted, Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy to study math, science and later creative writing. As a child it was a natural gift to start reading by the age of 4 and then writing books by the age of 7. Her mother would often give her a composition book and pen to keep her busy as she would use it to sketch multiple drawings of blueprints of buildings and community centers. Inspired by the daily television shows she watched growing up, The Jeffersons, Goodtimes, and Different Strokes; this display of the variety of African American lifestyles of rich versus poor sparked her interest in entrepreneurship to combat poverty. In 1999 she served time in Saginaw Michigan for a one year jail sentence and five years of probation in the penal system that changed her life forever. After serving her jail time she completed her first Master's Degree at Eastern Michigan University and went on to receive her PhD as a first generation college student. Family, community, and building wealth has been the foundation of her core values for over twenty years. She attributes much of her success to her faith, mother, and mentorships over the years.

Career[edit]

She recalls losing everything three times before her shift and contributes much of her financial comeback to the knowledge and resources acquired from bookstores–a pivotal point in her journey and inspiration for creating Fresh Docs Inc., a family of companies actively helping ordinary people start and fund extraordinary businesses.  She is a multifaceted author, consultant, entrepreneur, Lifestyle Engineer, and app developer.  She has spent over 20 years working with emerging and legacy brands in sports, media, and entertainment to create business models and strategies that would provide untethered access to business success.
