Alexandria (Ally) Zlatar, PhD (Canadian: born 5 March 1997) is an artist and activist from Canada.[1] [2] [3] She founded an art organization named The Starving Artist in 2017 to promote art advocacy for Eating Disorders in the UK, reaching more than 200,000 people.[4] In 2019, she created the 'The Starving Artist Fund' to help people from marginalized communities access Eating Disorder in-patient treatment programs. From there The Starving Artist has become a leading arts organisation globally.[5][6]

In 2021, Zlatar was awarded the Diana Award,[7] the Diana Legacy Award [8] [9]and in 2022 the King Hamad Award for SDGs [10] for her accomplishments in art activism. She works with the public, the private, and the civic society to bring intersectional creative reform to help empower the artistic voice as a change-making tool.[11][12][13]
