Dr. Satish Chandra Jha is an Indian civil servant of the Indian Post & Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service (IP&TAFS), 1998 batch. He is presently serving as the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA) for Maharashtra and Goa. Over the course of his career, he has worked in senior administrative and academic positions in both the Government of India and the Government of Bihar.
Early life and education
Dr. Jha was born on 24 January 1973 in Madhubani district of Bihar. He later lived and studied in Deoghar (now in Jharkhand). He holds a postgraduate degree and a Ph.D. in Public Administration. In addition, he has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management.
He is a life member of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
Career
Government of Bihar
Dr. Jha served the Government of Bihar in various capacities, mainly in the education and academic administration sectors.
- As Special Secretary, Education Department, he was associated with the implementation and monitoring of key education initiatives, including the Mid-Day Meal Scheme. His role in strengthening monitoring mechanisms for the scheme was reported in national media.
