Dragoș Turea was born on 08 February 1980 and he is a Moldavian filmmaker, director, screenwriter and producer.
Early life[edit]
Dragoș Turea was born on February 8, 1980 in Chișinau, RSSM. His father, Valeriu Turea journalist and diplomat, and his mother, Larisa Turea journalist, theater and film critic. He has two brothers, Marin and Valeriu. He studies at the Faculty of Audiovisual Communication of the National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art "Ion Luca Caragiale" in Bucharest, Romania. In 2006 he obtained a degree in Film, Film and TV Art at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts in Chisinau, Moldova. Dragoș Turea begins his career as a director and television producer, being the producer of several local entertainment shows
Career[edit]
In 2007, he released his short documentary Vasile Mămăligă, a film awarded by the Moldavian Filmmakers Union. In 2009 Dragoș Turea becomes the founder of the studio "Parmis Film Studio" and begins the production of his feature film documentary The Soviet Garden, and after 10 years of investigation the World Premiere was held at the Sarajevo Film Festival in 2019.
