Dragoslav Đukanović

Professor Dragoslav Djukanovic is a Serbian dental academic[1] at the Clinic of Periodontology and Oral Medicine in the Faculty of Stomatology, in Belgrade, Serbia. He earned a Master of Science in 1968 after presenting the first Masters' thesis in dentistry in Yugoslavia,[citation needed] and went on to complete his PhD in 1974. He has published 318 papers and 21 books.

He was for three years chairman, and for five years vice-chairman, of the Scientific Committee of the Federation Dentaire International (World Dental Federation). In that capacity he organized the scientific programs for World Dental Congresses several times, in Belgrade (1985), Buenos Aires (1987), Washington D.C. (1988), Amsterdam (1989), Singapore (1990), Milan (1991), and Berlin (1992). He has held the positions of Vice-Dean, Faculty of Stomatology, at the University of Belgrade from 1978 to 1982, and has been the Director of the Clinic of Periodontology and Oral Medicine at the university.
