Dread Corps was founded on April 1st 2022 by a team of UK based writers and horror enthusiasts. There are several horror based websites such as Bloody Disgusting or Dread Central that cover horror related news and reviews based in America. However, Dread Corps is one of only a few horror related websites that are based in the UK.

Dread Corps has a wide focus in horror such as reviews on a range of horror related content such as horror films, TV shows, theatre and video games. The website also has a series of "Top 10" lists that rank a variety of items such as characters, films and more within horror related content.
The site has outlined its plans to expand its content offering including the generation of original content similar to other platforms such as Shudder.[1]
