Picking up from the events of the final episode of the previous season in which former owner Phil Wallis sells off the club in a raffle. Lifelong Harchester fan Matt Webster is on holiday in Spain when he becomes aware of the rearranged final match of the Premiership season against Everton and that his season tickets seats are to be reallocated. Leaving his girlfriend Alison behind, he and her son Chris travel back home but are too late to attend the match. Meanwhile, the Boyles, a Merseyside family have travelled up to Harchester to attend the game for Dean's birthday but are forced to sit amongst the home supporters. When the raffle happens, Dean's girlfriend Donna ends up in the lucky seat though it becomes apparent that the tickets are actually allocated to Clyde Connelly, and with seemingly no quick resolution to the dispute, the matter is set for court. Later, Matt finds his season ticket that has the winning seat number on it. Elsewhere, the club's shareholders appoint Pilar Hernandez as the new chief executive and she immediately makes her intention to get the club into the Champions League by rescinding Karl Fletcher's new contract and bid to sign Barcelona playmaker Luke Davenport. | ||||
