Dream Vacations Franchise is a home-based travel agency franchise owned by World Travel Holdings and is a member of the International Franchise Association (IFA). The company’s franchisees help to book cruises and travel accommodations at destinations around the world. There are currently 1300 franchisee owners. The company hosts contests for veterans and spouses and writes byline articles on veterans and franchising.[1]

CruiseOne was founded in 1992 and was acquired in 2006 by World Travel Holdings. In 2016, Dream Vacations was launched as the sister brand to CruiseOne. Its name is derived from CruiseOne’s tagline — Dream Vacations Start Here.
Dream Vacations Franchise is lead by Co-CEO/Chairman Brad and Jeff Tolkin.
Dream Vacations Franchise is debt-free and makes significant investments in recruitment, staffing and technology.[2]
The franchise sold its 1,000th franchise in 2015 and grows approximately 10% each year.[3]
Awards and Recognition[edit]
Dream Vacations received a “5-Star Ranking” from the IFA’s VetFran initiative, and veterans and active duty spouses make up more than 30 percent of its network.[4]
Number one rankings as a veteran-friendly franchise by Military Times four years in a row, as well as by Entrepreneur and Forbes. Other accolades include inclusion on G.I. Jobs annual “Hot Franchises for Veterans” list, Franchise Business Review’s “Top 100 Franchises for Veterans” and USA Today’s “50 Top Franchises for Military Veterans.”[5]

Extracurricular Efforts[edit]
Dream Vacations supports Make-A-Wish®, the signature charity of its parent company World Travel Holdings. [6] Founded in 2012, Operation Vetrepreneur awards five military veterans (seven in 2018 to commemorate 7th anniversary) with a free travel franchise.[7] The contest is open to former members of any of the five branches of the U.S. military (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard) who are retired, off active duty and/or honorably discharged prior to the contest start date. The contest won Gold in the 2017 IFA Franchising Gives Back Awards and the 2016 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards.
