DriveLock was founded under the name CenterTools later changing the name to DriveLock. Product offerings address IT Security, Data Loss Prevention, Application Security, risk management, encryption and application control markets.

DriveLock SE has 3,000 customers located in 30 countries, managing 3 million endpoints.[3] The DriveLock Management team consists of CEO Anton Kreuzer, CTO Udo Reidel and CFO/COO Thomas Geiger.[4] DriveLock raised 6M in funding with Nordwind Capitol Group GmbH in 2017.[5]

  • In 1999 DriveLock is founded as CenterTools.
  • In 2000 CenterTools creates a way to control USB ports in a more complete way.
  • In 2004 CenterTools adds container encryption to the product offering.
  • In 2007 CenterTools adds Application Control to the product offering.
  • In 2008/2009 CenterTools adds Full Disk Encryption to the product offering.[6]
  • In 2010 CenterTools adds Terminal Server, VDI and Thin Client integration.
  • In 2011 CenterTools added AntiVirus into the DriveLock product.
  • In 2012 CenterTools added File Protection and Cloud Encryption.
  • In 2013 CenterTools announced Virtual Channel support Citrix and VDI.

DriveLock SE's primary product is DriveLock consisting of five seperate products. Access control for Devices, Applications, Encryption, AntiVirus and Web Security. [1]

The DriveLock product consists of Device Control, Application Control, User Awareness, Web security,[8] Full Disk Encryption, Cloud Encryption, File/Folder Encryption and container based encryption.
