Duane Strauss
Duane Strauss (born 27 October 1984) is an Australian Television and Radio presenter.
Career[edit]
Strauss started his career as a “Black Thunder Driver” for commercial radio station 104.7 (Canberra FM Radio), whilst studying at the University of Canberra. During his time at 104.7 he was the “go-to guy” for many of the breakfast shift’s stunts.
Through the 2007-2010 ski seasons, Duane worked as a Snow reporter at Perisher Ski Resort, filing reports for MTV, Fox Sports, Fuel TV, The Weather Channel, Channel 9 News.[1]
After the 2010 ski season he moved to Sydney to take up the role as a Traffic Reporter with the Australian Traffic Network.[2] There he worked with many of the commercial radio and TV networks, mostly notably being a reporter for Channel 7’s Sunrise (TV program) program and also for Nova969.
Joining subscription television provider, Foxtel, in 2012, Duane presented weather for The Weather Channel and Sky News.[3]
Currently he works as a host for Australian iconic kids television show, Totally Wild on Network Ten[4] , with occasional appearances on Ten Eyewitness News, covering the weather.[5]
