Duck Avenger is an American Disney comic book title released by IDW Publishing[1][2] since August 2016[3]. The comic book features reprinted and translated Duck Avenger stories from the story arc of the Italian comic, PKNA - Paperinik: New Adventures, originally published in Italy between March 1996 - January 2001, about the super hero Duck Avenger, the alias of the crime fighting Donald Duck.
The comic title was introduced in the "floppy" comic book format as well as in trade paperback, but since issue #6 the title is only published in the trade paperback format.
Publication[edit]
The Duck Avenger comic title features only already created stories from Disney Italia, first published in the 1990s and early 2000s. The contributions IDW Publishing do to the comic when repackaging its material for the american comic market is however a new translation to english by Jonathan Gray as well as new lettering primarly done by Nicole Seitler and Travis Seitler. The title uses the original coloring by Disney Italia.[4]
Single issues & collected trade paperbacks[edit]
Single issues[edit]
IDW Publishing began to release the comic title as a single floppy magazine release every other month with beginning in 2016 with issue #0, after the release of issue #5 they decided to continue the comic book series exclusivly in trade paperback format and therefore cancelled the single issue distribution.[5]
