Dunmore: Augustinian Friary

Convent of Dunmore, County of Galway, now translated to Athlone
According to Ware & Lublin, a convent was founded at Dunmore, Co. Galway, in the year 1425 by the Birmingham family. In the reign of Elizabeth I, Thomas Tully Friar was martyred for his faith.
