DuranShow
DuranShow was a radio program on 100.1 FM and KOCP Oxnard-Ventura, California.[1][2]
The show aired from March 1, 2008 through February 14, 2011. Previously the host, Jeff Duran (also known as Jeff Dandurand) had done shows on 97.1 Free FM, Los Angeles.[3][4]
Notable guests[edit]
Throughout its run, DuranShow had many guests, most notable was Lady Gaga[5] before she became an international phenomenon.[6] Other artists like Jeffree Star[7] and A Skylit Drive got their first commercial radio breaks on the show. Shuggie Otis chose the DuranShow as his only media outlet when he was contemplating a return to music.[8] The DuranShow also featured many artists in the Heavy Metal genre like Korn[9] and Jamey Jasta from Hatebreed.[10]
The show ended in February 2011 with the host and stations parting amicably. Duran went on to write music for Britney Spears [11][12] and direct a movie about his years as a radio personality and stand up comedian.[13]
