Dustin Samuel Payton Collins (born August 14, 1988), known professionally as Dustin Collins, is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has performed with artists such as Kane Brown and Colt Ford. Dustin performed his number one single""Cold Dead Hands" for the National Rifle Association Convention in both 2017 and 2019.[4]

Biography[edit]

Dustin Collins was born in Villa Rica, Georgia, but moved to Kentucky at a young age. In his Bardstown, Kentucky home, Collins' mother and father were both musically inclined, skills Dustin began to hone early on. Collins began playing local clubs, eventually working his way to opening spots for the Kentucky Headhunters. Collins' released the mini-album 'She Does' in 2016. He continued to build an audience through touring, including an opening position on Aaron Watson's Vaquero tour.[5] In 2018, he signed a Label Services Agreement and partnered with Average Joes Entertainment on his debut album It's Been a While. The album charted in the Top 25 of the Billboard Country Music [6]album charts as well as placing 21 on the Independent albums[7]and number one on the Heatseeker Charts[8]. Following the release of the album, Collins performed on tour with artists such as Tanya Tucker, Colt Ford, and headlined his first major show at Alltech Arena in the city of Lexington in his home state of Kentucky. [9]
