Personal Life

Marty and Diana Stanton brought Dustin into the world on February 20, 1994. His dad, Marty Stanton, played football at Eastern Washington University and worked as a physical therapist where he founded North Sound Physical Therapy[1] in Marysville, Washington. Dustin grew up with two brothers, Kyle and Bryce, in which are both active in the military. Kyle is in the 2nd Cavalry Regiment (United States), and serves on the stryker unit in Vilseck, Germany. Bryce is in the 25th Infantry Division (United States), located in Hawaii. Dustin founded his own real-estate company in 2018, WestLake Investments. [2]

Early years

Stanton attended Lakewood High School[3] in Lakewood, Washington. As a three year captain, Stanton helped the team to Cascade Conference championship in 2011. He was a two-time recipient of Lakewood’s Coaches Award for leadership and hustle. Stanton also earned first team all-league as a senior on the hardwood; honorable mention as a junior. While playing on offense and defense as a linebacker and tight end, Staton also played basketball and participated in track and field while in high school.[4]

He was considered a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and was rated as the 32nd tight end prospect of his class.[5]

College career

Stanton accepted a football scholarship from Oregon State University[6]. As a redshirt freshman, he started 13 games at tight end, but then moved to the offensive line.

As a sophomore, he started 6 games at right tackle. As a junior, he continued to play at right tackle and started 12 games. Stanton was one of only two offensive linemen to start all 12 games in 2015

As a senior at Oregon State, Stanton started all 12 games, three at right tackle and nine at right guard. He also helped the Beavers set the OSU single-season rushing record with 5.2 yards per carry and was then chosen as a team captain.

Professional career

Cincinnati Benglas

Stanton signed with the Cincinnati Bengals[9] on April 29, 2017 as an undrafted free agent[10]. He was released in August out of preseason.

Dallas Cowboys

Stanton signed a 2 year contract with the Dallas Cowboys[11] on April 28, 2018 as a free agent. He suffered a knee injury [12]and was placed on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
