Dusty Locane is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born and raised in Canarsie, Brooklyn, Dusty Locane began his musical career in mid 2020 with his debut single "Rollin n Controllin Freestyle" on August 7, 2020. As of July 20, 2021, it sits on 27 million YouTube views. Dusty Locane has a distribution deal with Empire.
Early life
Dusty Locane was born on June 11, 1999, in Brooklyn, New York, to a Haitian mother and a Trinidadian father.[1] Dusty Locane has 2 sisters and a brother. Locane attended different schools while growing up in Canarsie, Brooklyn. He sang in his local church as a child with his mother.
Career
Dusty Locane released his debut single, "Rollin n Controllin Freestyle", on August 7, 2020; the song was originally recorded by voice memo before he officially recorded it. By March 2021, the song had almost 30 million streams on Spotify and 14 million views on YouTube.[2]
In November 2021, Dusty Locane announced that his debut album, titled Untamed, was to be released on November 19.[3]
